How Does Consignment Work?

How It Works

It’s simple. For furniture, begin by texting (231-929-0022), or emailing janet@reclectia.com photos for review. Share any information you have about the piece including any issues or price concerns. If accepted into our inventory we will work with you to schedule a delivery time Tuesday-Thursday 11-3.

Please have the piece dusted, vacuumed, wiped down, and cords rubber banded.

Our contract together is for three (3) months with a 50/50 split.  Our tags reflect a 20% discount every month to the buyer.  You may check on your account by text, phone, email, or drop in.  A check can be issued if proceeds exceed $30, and Janet is here. You may also choose to wait out the term and collect all the proceeds at once. A call, text or email ahead of your arrival will kindly give us time to update and prepare a check if due.

Any unsold items you may want back need to be picked up by term end, or they will be relinquished. At that point we drastically reduce the price to recoup our costs, or donate them.  Please give us a few days notice to gather your unsold.

Pricing is contingent upon many things and we will always do our best to sell your piece at its highest value. However, things that are taken into consideration are:
The uniqueness, the popularity, the condition, the provenance (history), and the current going price, which is different than the asking price.

See, it’s very simple, it’s fun, and coming in for your check is addicting! You’ll be digging in your attic for more to sell. Why put up with garage sale hassles, no shows, and spammers from online listings. You bring it, we sell it!
